About Mutt Buddies
Founder,
Sarah Bartley, spent her early years surrounded by horses, dogs and other animals in her native Ireland before settling on
the west coast in 2005. Before waving goodbye to the Emerald Isle Sarah received an Honors degree in Communication Studies
from Dublin City University, which she soon put to work in Vancouver’s illustrious film industry.
However, her love of animals was impossible to ignore, and before long Sarah
soon found herself drawn back into the rewarding task of professional pet care.
Sarah felt that she had more to offer than was available from other pet care providers and realized
that by combining her experience and knowledge of animals with her skills and education, she could develop a new kind of pet
care and training focused on effective human-canine communication, and Mutt Buddies was born.
Sarah is a certified obedience trainer through the Canada West Canine Center, the
first school of Dog Trainers to be registered with the Private Post Secondary Education Commission of British Columbia. She
is also certified in canine first aid and CPR. She is licensed, bonded, insured, and a member of Pet Sitters International.
Sarah also continues to educate herself on the most
up-to-date research on health and nutrition, behavior, and training methods and specializes in human-canine communication.
