Treat your dog to a satisfying one-hour walk and playtime session in your local neighborhood or local dog park. Take some time to sniff the bushes or partake in a rigorous game of fetch or tug of war. Perfect for those dogs who like their own space or require individualized attention (pups, geriatric dogs, blind/deaf dogs). Perfect opportunity to practice obedience commands! Finish off with a nose to tail check-up, a fresh bowl of water and a healthy organic treat.

Puppy / Special needs visits

Feeling guilty for leaving your young dog home days or have an older dog who needs some extra care? We will come to your home to spend some extra play and cuddle time with your best friend, take them on a potty break or do some light training and socialisation. Whatever you need we can do it during our half hour visit.

Lets face it! We love our Mutts but often work and other commitments get in the way of giving them the attention they require. If you want to come home and unwind with your dog rather than worry about long nightly walks or worse, restrictive daycare pick-up and drop-off times, we offer the perfect solution.

1 hour group social walks

Our one-hour group walks are centered on exercise and promoting positive social interaction.We keep our groups small so that play can be kept under control, even when things get boisterous! Your dogs safety is our top priority, and although all breeds and sizes are welcome your dog must first go through our complementary evaluation so that their personality can be matched to a group of walking buddies. Again, all walks end with a nose to tail check-up, a fresh bowl of water and a healthy organic treat.

For loyal customers and customers that require two or more walks a week we offer generous discount packages to suit your budget. For those who simply need an occasional stroll we have competitive rates for individual services.

Training

Training sessions are hour-long one-on-one classes, based on motivation, plenty of praise and correction when necessary. An understanding of canine-learning techniques and canine communication is utilized to ensure that the training is as effective and fun as possible. Training is interspersed with games and down time to maximize retention of information. Although Mutt Buddies does not ‘treat train’, delicious treats are always on hand to reward their hard work. We like to take our training on the road! This provides a more interesting and fun training session for your mutt, as well as plenty of distractions to produce optimum results.

As with all training the most important part is training the owner! After all how will your dog ever heal or stay if you don’t know how to ask them? Mutt Buddies strives to communicate training techniques to all Mutt Mommas and Poppas, and provides progress charts and prompt email support to all dog owners.

Do you have a business trip, or holiday coming up? Kenneling can be extremely stressful for your dog and rarely provides the interaction your dog needs. Mutt Buddies would be happy to keep your dog company while you're away. Pet sitting can be either live-in or daily visits, and fully caters to your Mutts individual requirements and routine. We provide all the basics as well as offering an A la Carte menu for you to select a number of complementary services. Does your dog require special attention? Meds? Insulin shots? That's no problem! Mutt Buddies has experience with a range of health issues and is happy to provide additional care for your dog! After all, your dogs' happiness and your piece of mind is our top priority.

The small print

Dogs must provide their own NON-retractable leash.
Pet owners are responsible for keeping their pet's vaccinations current to prevent illness.
Aggressive dogs or dogs that pull on the leash cannot join group walks until such problems are resolved through training.
All services requested during statutory holidays are subject to a $10 surcharge.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session may be charged the full amount.
